The Greater Morgantown Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) promotes travel to Monongalia and Preston counties in West Virginia.
BTA developed a new logo for the organization that delivered a memorable message: MORE!gantown. The agency designed, coded and launched the bureau’s new Web site,
www.tourmorgantown.com. All marketing materials going forward were created to compliment the new brand, but it was the Internet marketing, Google™ AdWord campaign, and Google™ Analytics provided by
BTA’s in-house Google™ professional that tracked and delivered ROI for the bureau.
Results: One year from launch the site visits increased 435%
West Virginia University Sports Communications – wvusports.com
In sports . . . seconds count. Since 1994, BTA has held the primary graphics contract for West Virginia University Sports Communications. And every day, 24/7, the department puts BTA to the test: a 6-second video animation to promote the NCAA Sweet Sixteen: requested at 12:15 pm, delivered at 3pm; 31 new pages for Mountaineer Illustrated Football Game Program: requested at 9am, delivered at 4pm; the WVU Football Media Guide: 208 pages designed, proofed, and delivered to the printer in 329 hours.
When the agency had a few seconds to spare, we developed the Mountaineer DeskMate, a dynamic screen saver that provides instant updates on WVU sports news, scores, special promotions and video. This project was developed on spec – completely unsolicited by the client – and won first place in the National Collegiate Athletic Marketing Awards for Multimedia Advertising.
Results: 40,000 downloads in the first 30 days.
Swanson Industries – swansonindustries.com.com
Rapid growth brought growing pains for Swanson Industries, the worldwide machining and plating company headquartered in Morgantown , W.Va. Diversification into steel, coal and construction equipment sectors resulted in a proliferation of company names and logos: 12 to be exact. As the company was preparing to enter the Asian market, the leaders turned to BTA to present a comprehensive yet contemporary image in the global marketplace.
The result: a new trademarked corporate symbol – a refreshed and redesigned version of the intertwined “S” graphic — and a straightforward presentation of the company’s core competencies in manufacturing, repair, distribution and remanufacturing. Sales brochures, trade journal ads, and imprinted employee safety awards were expeditiously produced by the agency to meet tight deadlines. The brand is protected by corporate graphic standards developed by the agency.
